WHAT ARE CONNECTED SERVICES?

Connected Services elevate the ownership experience by providing a personal internet connection directly in your vehicle. Stream music and media, access live traffic updates, and more. Plus, stay in sync with your vehicle through the Cadillac mobile app and Google Automotive Services™.

 

Connected Services comes standard with your vehicle at no extra cost for up to eight years, starting from the first registration of the vehicle. If you purchase a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, you will receive the remaining duration of the original eight year coverage, and all capabilities will be the same as they were for the original owner.

WHICH VEHICLES AND COUNTRIES OFFER CONNECTED SERVICES?

Cadillac Connected Services are available in all electric vehicles sold to retail customers by Cadillac Europe. Individuals who don't own the vehicle cannot activate the mobile app connected services. Connected services offer data coverage in the following countries:

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Ireland, Slovenia, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Malta, Andorra, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Lichtenstein, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican City.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF THE COVERAGE AREA?

If your vehicle is outside the coverage area, it will lose connectivity, and features that require a network or data connection — including eCall, Google Maps, Assistant, Play Store, remote commands, and others — will not work. However, if your phone has an active data connection, you may use it as a hotspot to continue accessing Google Built-in features or opt for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto instead.

IN WHICH COUNTRIES IS THE CADILLAC APP AVAILABLE?

The Cadillac mobile app is currently available in Switzerland, Germany, France, and Sweden. Ensure that your app store is set to one of these countries. The Cadillac app is only available for electric vehicles.

WHERE CAN I FIND MY VEHICLE'S VIN?

On the car’s windshield, or in the car’s registration document.

HOW DO I ACTIVATE MY CONNECTED SERVICES IN THE CADILLAC APP?

Once you’ve received your vehicle, activate your Cadillac Connected Services by following the steps below:

 

  1. Download the Cadillac mobile app, select the country where you purchased your vehicle, and sign in with the myCadillac account you used to place your order (or create a new one).
  2. If your vehicle is not in the app yet, tap on your profile icon, select Add product, and manually add in your VIN. Then, click on Activate your  LYRIQ, LYRIQ V,  VISTIQ and OPTIQ.
  3. If your vehicle is already in the app, tap on your profile icon, and select Manage my products. Then, select your vehicle and tap Get connected.
  4. Connect your phone to the vehicle via Bluetooth or cable, making sure Apple CarPlay or Android Auto is active.
  5. Tap on Start activation, complete all steps in the mobile app, and accept any prompts on the infotainment display.
  6. Turn off your vehicle, wait two minutes, log out from the mobile app and then sign in again. You should now see remote commands and vehicle health features enabled.

WHY DON'T I SEE ANY REMOTE COMMANDS ON THE CADILLAC APP?

Remote commands are only available once digital activation has been completed.

WHAT IS eCall?

Your vehicle is equipped with a 112 based eCall system free of charge. In the event of a crash, an eCall-equipped vehicle may automatically call the nearest 112 emergency centre. If built-in sensors detect a crash, an emergency call is placed automatically and the emergency personnel can determine whether help is needed.

 

The exact location of the crash site may be sent to the emergency centre even if the occupants of the vehicle are unable to communicate with emergency personnel. 

 

You can also activate the eCall system manually. Press the SOS icon on the overhead console to contact the nearest 112 emergency centre. Press the end call icon within two seconds to cancel the manually activated eCall. The following may indicate a problem with the system:

 

  • Red light near the phone button is displayed.
  • When the vehicle is on, the light near the phone button does not display.
  • Driver Information Centre message may appear. 

 

If one of these indicators is present, visit your Cadillac Service Centre.

CONNECTED SERVICES ARE NOT WORKING IN MY VEHICLE (E.G., GOOGLE MAPS, SPOTIFY, OR OTHER APPS ARE OFFLINE), WHAT SHOULD I DO?

To get Connected Services, download the myCadillac app, accept the Connected Vehicle Services User Terms and follow the activation steps. For the best experience, we recommend completing activation within 2 days of vehicle delivery to ensure a smooth activation of Connected Services.
